Biography
Born in 2001, Ariane Mandić grew up on the outskirts of the Emmental and spent her summers every year in Bosnia with her mother’s family.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Camera Arts at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Mandić initially gained experience in the field of collection care and now works in the Art Projects department at the Kunsthaus Zürich.
Alongside her institutional work, she develops her own photographic and artistic projects using a research-driven methodology across photography, archival material, and video to explore the intersections between visual narratives, archives, and personal identity.
